Up and Up Education uses a well-tested and highly focused approach to prepare students for various standardized exams in New York. We specialize in working with students in grades 3–12, and have assisted hundreds of students in gaining admission to some of the most prestigious specialized high schools in New York City.
The outstanding success of Up and Up Education’s students can largely be attributed to our well-organized and highly experienced teaching team. Our teachers are chosen for their expertise in specific subjects, and they’ve developed an effective curriculum that addresses students’ weaknesses and turns them into strengths. At the conclusion of each semester, students provide feedback, enabling teachers to refine their teaching methods. Many of our teachers have been with Up and Up Education for more than a decade and are committed to helping students excel through elementary school, middle school, high school, and beyond.

Students are placed into customized classes that cater to their individual needs. Up and Up Education provides programs tailored to each grade level, with different learning levels within each grade. This approach allows teachers to give personalized attention to every student, focusing on their specific challenges and helping to keep them motivated.
Moreover, the use of up-to-date practice materials is crucial to the students’ academic achievements. Up and Up Education regularly updates its practice exams for all standardized tests, ensuring that students are well-prepared when they sit for their exams.
Our System
Program Overview: Year-Round Learning
We take great pride in our engaged and effective teaching methods. Both parents and students will discover that Up and Up Education is a valuable and inclusive environment where everyone is encouraged to learn, practice, and grow.
Our programs are structured into Summer, Fall, and Spring terms for students in grades 3-12:
Summer Program: Our summer program is the largest of the year, running Monday to Friday for 6–7 weeks during the summer. The exact dates change annually, but it typically runs from the beginning of July until mid-August. Each class is 2 hours daily.
Fall Program: The fall program lasts 15 weeks, starting at the beginning of September and continuing until the end of December. Classes for 3rd to 7th graders take place on Saturdays or Sundays from 9am to 12pm.
Spring Program: Our spring semester starts in early January and continues until late May, with typically 22 sessions. 3rd to 7th-grade classes are held on Saturday or Sunday mornings from 9am to 12pm, with creative writing classes in the afternoon.

Experienced licensed teachers assigned by subject and grade level.
Up and Up Education hires licensed, experienced teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools across New York City. Teachers are assigned to classes according to subject area (Math, Reading, Writing) and grade level programs (3rd/4th/5th Grade, Hunter, SHSAT, PSAT/SAT). All our teachers hold licenses and have 5 to 20 years of teaching experience in public schools, with an average of 10 years of experience, making them experts in their fields.
Our teachers are placed into classes based on their subject expertise (Math, Reading, Writing) and the level of the course (3rd/4th/5th Grade, Hunter, SHSAT, PSAT/SAT).
